Baltimore Bunny Block #7

Just because I got onto her about the last one, mom felt like she should kick my butt on the next 2. I have barely started this one and she is almost done with the next one :) Only 5 more after this one, then the border UGHHHHH! Christmas has kept us very busy, hopefully after the new year, I can post more to my blog.

Mom says it took her about 12 0r 13 hours to do this one. With no interuptions from your brother Dog. 11 to 12 hours if B hadn't been under her feet all time. Sooner than that if Bo and Hooty hadn't been wanting to go outside every ten minutes. And 3or 4 hours if she didn't have to do some really important stuff for dad. Like making supper or getting me something to drink or answering the phone or .....

Well, after much coaxing on my part, I finally got her to finish her block. She estimates it took her about 10 hours, since she did not keep track of her time. :)

Baltimore Bunny Block #6

Well, I have finally finished one before mom did! YEAH for me :) This is block 6, we are officially halfway done at this point. I am going right now to start on block 7, so I figured I better get this posted now! This block ONLY took me 11.75 hours. Wow, really wasn't that bad. Well, here it is, I will be posting mom's - if she will ever get it done. Come on guys, we have to encourage her on this one, honestly, she is ready to quit them!

Oh by the way, we have had a busy week around our house. Little miss Emma is getting 4 teeth on top, a total of 6 teeth, she has learned to crawl, so she is everywhere and she loves her brother so much, he can always make her laugh.... Jordan glued his hands to his trike, luckily it was basting glue so it is very water soluble, he tried to stick sweet-tarts up my nose and he has learned many interesting words! But he can always make you smile by grabbing your face, giving you a kiss, and telling you that you are the best and that he loves you!

Fun new toy for Emma

Here is the cutest pattern that I found before Emma was born, and I finally finished one, almost 8 months later. The fabric, of course, is the same as her bed set, since I had so much of it left over! The pattern is by Heather Bailey, who I love, she does the cutest stuff! It was a fun pattern to figure out, Heather is very talented at making instructions easy. I had a lot of fun creating this pattern.

I finally got my Baltimore Bunnies Block finished. So, here it is, not a moment too soon since mom just got her new one in the mail today. We are officially one behind the current month :( Which stinks. But life got busy for both of us these last few months....... So, here is my new one, it seemed to take forever, but it really only took me about 11 hours and 45 minutes. If you are keeping track, this quilt is going to take us forever!!!

Baltimore Bunny #5

Ok, mom is way ahead of me! I am just getting started on mine, hopefully since we are travelling to Salt Lake, I will be able to work on it, but with 2 kids in the car hmmmmm I doubt it! :) Here is a picture of mom's, it only took her 12 hours and 2 minutes. This quilt is going to be like 200 hours by the time we are all done!

Oh, also included is a picture of my furry brother Augy, who is a very heavy sleeper!

Baltimore Bunny # 4

Here is my mom's latest Baltimore Bunny, number 4. She forgot to keep her hours but would guess about 13 hours to create this lovely piece. Can't wait until we can put them all together. Well, I was busy at her house this week, so I have yet to finish mine, but it will follow hers shortly. I know I am becoming a slacker! :)

Baltimore Bunny Block 3

My Baltimore Bunny Block #3, yes, I am a little behind on mine, my mom is almost done with Block 4, but I have been working on nothing! This one took me about 13 and a half hours, compared to my mom's we were pretty close on time.

I am also posting my mom's again, so you can compare the difference in the color ways. Mom's is the top one, mine is the bottom one.

Planetary party block #4

Baltimore Bunny block 3

Well, it is time to post another Baltimore Bunny Block. This one is number 3 and it was a boogar. I am not anywhere near finished with mine, but my mom had to beat me with hers. Here is a picture of hers, it only took her 13 hours and 40 minutes. WOW!

Mystery Quilt

Here is a picture of our Border Creek Mystery Quilts. My mom was very brave and did the queen with the pieced border. About halfway through the final clue, she was wondering how crazy she was! That border is individual x-blocks! WOW for her. I was a little smarter and decided to do the unpieced border in a lap size! Well, with 2 small children, who can blame me :) Just Kidding. Anyhow, here is the picture of both of those quilts. Hers is out of Kansas Troubles and mine is out of Three Sisters. It is almost hard to believe they are the same pattern.

While my mom was taking her pictures, she had a few models that were wanting to be on the blog so bad, they posed with a quilt! LOL, these are my nieces, the so excited red head is Kirby and the cute little blonde is Sarah.

Emmarysa's Room

I finally finished Emma's room, here are the fun pictures of it! It turned out so cute! Thank you mom for making the crib skirt and the bumper pads, Thank you Patty Young for designing the fabric and Thank you Quilt N' More for some ideas! This was the first time I have ever designed a nursery. We had so much fun. I don't think I even had to look at other fabric, this fabric was the one from the beginning. Love at first site! :)

LiveSand Dollar

While we were at Coronado Island, Aaron found a live Sand Dollar.....I have never seen one of these alive. He was standing on it when the sand washed out from under him. It was so cool, here are him and Jordan playing with it.

Emma at the beach

Emma is so happy when she is at the beach, I guess we will just have to move here. Also, amazing things happened to her rough little skin, apparently, salt air is good for rough dry skin.

Coronado Beach

This weekend we took an adventure to San Diego. We went to Sea World, then the Midway Battleship. Last of all, we finished off with Coronado Beach, where Jordan played in the water. Here are some videos of the beach. This first one is Jordan running into the water and making friends, as he so easily does

Adventure

Well, we are off to take the kids on an adventure. We were headed to Salt Lake City, UT to take the kids to the zoo, then found out the H1N1 virus is really bad there, a friend of ours has been quarantined because of it. So, we decided to go to San Diego, CA. We are taking Emma and Jordan to Sea World and the beach. We are excited to go. We will post more pictures as the excursion takes place.

Baltimore Bunnies Block 2 Comparison

OK, here is the comparison between our two blocks. Mine is the bottom one and took about 13 hours, my mom's is the top and 11 hours 55 minutes.

Mom's Baltimore Bunny Block 2

Well, my mom finally finished her Baltimore Bunny. My brother, a fat loving little ShihTzu sent me the pics this morning. I will quote him exactly, because he would get very upset if I didn't. Here is her picture and here is what Oggie said
"Mum sed et unly tuck her 11hrs n 55min tuh du thus
Luv yeh ses, Dog
PS Wll send pecs ufff meh quelt letterrr"

So, here is hers posted with her wonderful companion Oggie, also known as Dog. In the next post, ours will be side to side, so you can see the difference.

Planetary Party 3rd Block

Here is the 3rd Block I have completed for Jordan's quilt.

I love Amy Bradley, her patterns are so easy. This was done in about an hour.

Look what we did today!

We pierced Emma's ears today! They look so stinking cute. She was a real trooper. My S-I-L, Cristina got the wonderful job of holding her. I just couldn't do it. But, Emma cried more when they put the dots on her ears than when they actually put them in. But all in all, she cried for about 2 seconds and then she was laughing at us. Of course, the whole excursion wore her out. I moved her to the swing and she did not even wake up.

2nd Baltimore Bunny Block

I finished my second Baltimore Bunny Block, yeah, before Mom did. It only took me 13 hours this time, about 1/2 of the last one. This one is way easier, thank goodness. I am glad they are not all as time consuming as the first one. I will post Mom's when she finishes it, should be sometime soon. I also have up a picture of a very rare moment. Both children were sitting in front of the TV, together watching Baby Einstein's numbers.

We went to Yellowstone on Monday. It was awesome. Old Fatithul, wasn't quite as faithful. it was 20 minutes later than the scheduled time. The Buffalo or Bison were everywhere. They had tons of babies with them. At some points, they were so close, we could reach out the bus window and touch them. There were even people outside their cars taking pictures, UHHHHH Do they not realize that a mama will charge to protect her baby? Anyhow, we had so much fun. Jordan loved the Buffalo, of course, Emma slept! But, hey at 3 months old, she has already been to Idaho and Wyoming, not bad to start her travel log. Unfortunately, we did go to Idaho and not go to the Potato museum. We missed it......

Idaho Trip

We finally made it to Idaho in our huge Bus. I will post pics after a while. We started on this journey yesterday at about 3 pm. We made it to just North of Salt Lake City, when the bus started losing power. We then spent the night in the Target parking lot, while David and Aaron fixed it, luckily it was just a broken hose. We then spent the next 3 hours travelling farther north to visit with Aaron's family. It is a good trip. Emma is sick and Jordan is busy, but so far it is fun! Tomorrow, we are off to Yellowstone National Park and on Tuesday, we are thinking about going to the Potato Museum. Seriously, you cannot go to Idaho and not have ever visited the potato museum!

My Baltimore Bunny

I finally finished my Baltimore Bunny. Mine only took me about 21 1/4 hours. I spent most of this time watching the first season of Reaper. As my mom, I cannot sit still while I work on anything. I have posted both pictures, so you can see the difference in the two. It is amazing that two of the same patterns can look so different. Picture 1) My Baltimore bunny Picture 2) mom's Baltimore Bunny

Planetary Party Block 2

I almost forgot amongst the birthday craziness, I have finished another block in Jordan's quilt, the Planetary Party. The first one I posted was actually block 6 and this one is block 2. This quilt is so stinking cute!

My Birthday

Well, yesterday was my birthday! The big 34, the last year before 35, then I am officially closer to 40 than 30. BOOOO! It was a good day however, we celebrated it today. I got some awesome gifts, my husband bought me this cool laptop, which I am not using. My sis (in-law) bought me these 2 adorable signs to go in Emma's room, which I am way excited to hang. Jordan told me Happy Birthday to you. I got cupcakes, Burt's Bees, and many, many happy b-day texts and Facebooks. We celebrated by playing in the water in the backyard, you can see Josh helping Jordan down the slip and slide. What a perfect day!

Four Legged Brothers and Sisters

Pic 1, Mom, taking a break from a long day of shopping and and doing 'some' housework.
Pic 2 Bo again, doing his zoolander pose.
Pic 3-5 Are Bo's brother (Dog), sister (Hooty), and sister (B).
I know you would rather read about my four legged brothers & Sisters, so here it goes.
Bo, of course you already know how he got his name. But let me tell you about where he came from. Bo is a little Yorkie that mom aquired in Coffeyville, Ks. He hears things, lots of things, barks at anything and everything. More about him later.
Dog, (Christian name, Agustus Woodrow) so why Dog? Well it started out as Agustus ( after a character in the best movie ever made Lonesome Dove ) then went to Augy, then Woodrow ( because he came from a little town south of Lubbock, Tx. called Woodrow, Tx ) then Augy Doggy, then Augy Dog, and finally Dog. He's a very mellow and verrrry laid back Shi-tzu who would rather watch other dogs do the watching. Just show him the beef (his food dish and water bowl). And his ' I would rather be close to mom so you stay away' attitude.
Next Hooty, ( Christian name, Hooty ) she came to us here in New Mexico at a dog grooming salon. They were giving away little poodle and lassa oppsa mix puppies. Mom took one look at her face, which looked a lot like a Hoot Owl and hence the name and " this is the one. I'll never ask for anothe one, I promise " she told dad. And believed her, go figure. Anyway Hooty is a well mannered Poodlassa with her ' I'm a princess, a pretty princess, and need to be treated as such ' attitude.
And B, ah yes B, ( Christian name, Emmily Gale ) Emmily because mom has always liked that name. Surprised she didn't name me that, but she did have a part in naming my daughter Emmarysa. Humm coincidence, me thinkth not. Anyway, back to B, Gale came from the fact that came from a small ranch town close to Snyder, Tx. which is close to Abilene, Tx. B is a Yorkie and Cocker Spaniel mix, yea that's what we asked ourselves too, more Cocker than Yorkie. Why B? you ask yourself. Well it started out as Emmy, then Gale, then Emmy G. then Em and then out of nowhere mom started calling her Bumble Bee, then Bebe, then BB and the more we saw B with her ( 'I'm the queen around here and you all "will" do it my way or the highway" attitude, well hence the name final name ' B ' because she can really be one sometimes. If you know what I mean.
Well got to go for now and work on my 'block of the month' and may be let you know more about the fam. See Ya

Baltimore Bunny and Bo

It took mom about 23 hours to do this block. She worked on it on-n-off while watching one of her new favorite TV series ' Medium ' on DVD.
In the pics are the Baltimore Bunny ( Block of the Month ) and one of her four legged kids
Bo (her self proclaimed official house watch dog). Bo was named after an infamous PBR bull (Bodacious) who was finally retired after severly hurting several bullriders.
The next pic is what Bo 'n' dad do for hours at a time. And that is the all important, watch your JD sprinkler water the backyard and make sure it is being covered evenly.
